September chapter field trip location announced in members emailed newsletter emailed chapter newsletter in August. Registration requested.
A total of 23 Wild Ones members attended the native garden of Judy & Bob Cardin. Judy's garden is a well-establlished bee pollinator garden that has been featured in the Natural Wildlife magazine.
While we were there we observed many native bees including a Rusty Patch Bee, for which everyone was thrilled to see.
Guests learned about the evolution of the garden and viewed many native plants including the Fringed Gentian.
Many wonderful conversations took place during the visit and at lunch when guests had a lovely time socializing and sharing knowledge and experiences with one another.
A wonderful result of our get together was that one of our members overheard a conversation and offered her services as a graphic design artist. Deb and I have expressed to one another how important it is that we have professional help putting together newsletters and add photos and now we have one of our own willing to take on this position.
